Very Busy Week

It has been awhile since I have written on my blog because I haven't had time. It has been another busy week but I got a few minutes so I thought I should write something. Below is my typical week:

Monday: Up @ 5:00 a.m to walk Dixie and possible go for a run. Then I have my Middle School Cross Country practice at 8:00 a.m until 8:50 then I start work from 8:50 to 4:15.

Tuesday: Up @ 4:50 a.m to walk Dixie then head to the pool for a little swim. Go to work @ 8:20 until 4:15. Then head out to the Lake Buena Vista running practice to help coach about 50 runners for the marathon season. Back at home by 8:00 p.m

Wednesday: Up @ 5:00 a.m to walk Dixie and try to run. Middle School Cross Country practice from 8:00 a.m until 8:50. Then I start work from 8:50 - 4:15. Head to Orlando for our Team Hendryx running program for 6:00 p.m practice until 7:00 p.m. Back at home by 8:00 p.m.

Thursday: Up @ 4:50 a.m to walk Dixie then head to the pool if I can stay awake long enough. Head to work at 8:20 until 4:15. Hopefully get a little workout in after work.

Friday: Up @ 5:00 a.m only because Dixie keeps waking me up to take her out. This is the day I try to sleep in but I do have my cross country practice @ 8:00 a.m until 8:50 a.m. Work from 8:50 until 4:15.

Saturday: Well this Saturday I have to be at our Team Hendryx running program at West Orange Trail @ 7:00 a.m to help our athletes with their long run. Then I will head back home to jump on my bike to try and meet up with Kevin, Gary and Mike on their 112 mile bike. I should be able to catch 50 miles or so of their ride.

Sunday: We have our Team Burnham practice @ 7:00 a.m to help them with their long run. Then head back to Clermont to try and get a workout in and catch up with our Ironman training athletes as they do a relay in the Florida Challenge after biking a 112 and running 6 on Saturday.

I guess I know why I have been tired lately but it is fun. I am coaching Middle School kids all the way up to adults training for either a 10k, 1/2 marathon, marathon and even an iron distance triathlon.

The next four weeks are going to be really hectic because I have Team Hendryx practice on Wednesday plus our cross country meets. Thank goodness that Rene' has offered to help out a little and Steve is stepping up to help cover a practice or so on Wednesday.

Until next time, Be safe!
